Snow in October. Not completely unheard of. We've had it as early as September 29th. Brrrr!

What a delightfully curious image this makes with snow flakes on summer flowers . . the limited color here makes it all the more of a startle, somehow.

Beautiful and contradictory. I think we are in for a long cold winter. We also had an early snow just north of me in my state.
