Early Snowfall

It snowed yesterday. It's not even the middle of October. Far too soon, but rather pretty.

Dynamite selective focus. We saw snow on one of the passes on our road trip last Thursday.

@john4jack: Thanks, Jack. We were quite surprised to see snow so early in the season. Other than yesterday, the earliest Lincoln's had snow was Sept. 29th (not sure of the year, maybe 1985??). Still, far too early for this Southern California girl!

I drove to Bend, OR from the south yesterday. There was snow beside the road in shady places in southern Oregon. That's a cool shot.

@Steve Rice: I'm glad most of our snow is melting. It's really too early to be thinking about snow removal, gloves, hats, etc. If this continues, it'll be a looooooong winter, as we usually go until late April. Thanks for stopping by. I'm trying to keep up with this blog! :)
