What an Adventure!

Posted by Lesley (Lincoln, United States) on 28 September 2009 in Transportation and Portfolio.

1 year and 365 photos!
I did it! When I first starting posting here, I had no idea what I was in for. I've met some fabulous photographers, made some wonderful friends, and have learned a lot. (i.e., "Watch the horizon!"). And, I achieved my goal--to post a photo every day for one year. But now it's time for a break. I'm not saying goodbye, but I won't be quite as active as I've been this past year.

Of course, there's always that 500 photo goal to strive for now... ;)

Thanks for all the encouragement. It's been a blast!

Great achievement! Well done! Strive for 500 if you wish but make sure you enjoy it! Nice to this boat in full ! All good wishes to you

@MrsAmber: I think 500 is a great goal, but it will take me quite a while, especially if I'm only posting once a week! So good to meet you here. I appreciate all your comments.

john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United States

Congratulations. Do you think that you are a better photographer for having done it? Wonderful detail in today's shot.

@john4jack: Hmm, good question. I know I've learned to pay more attention to the horizon. ;)

Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United Kingdom

Congratulations and Well Done of the One Year Daily ! Shows what can be done when we keep a steady eye on the horizon . . hee hee . .

28 Sep 2009 6:19pm

@Ronnie 2¢: Hee hee is right. No matter what I do, the water always looks like it's ready to empty out of the lake or ocean. Time to start using a tripod, I suppose.

Graham Russon from Cape Town, South Africa

great shot.

@Graham Russon: Thanks, Graham!

And then the 1,000 shot goal after that. This one is gorgeous! Great job this first year.

29 Sep 2009 3:16am

@Steve Rice: 1,000 shots?! That would certainly take some time, wouldn't it? :) Glad you like this shot. It sure is a beautiful boat.

Craig from Vacaville, California, United States

Congrats on 365! But, you won't be able to stay away for long.....it's addictive! :0)

29 Sep 2009 7:54am

@Craig: It is! I'll probably pop in once a week. Now that the pressure (my own) is off to get one posted every day, I'm eager to get back.
