It really isn't as crowded as depicted in this shot. The cattle saw me and several came over to the fence to see what I was doing.

@MrsAmber: I was really surprised how they all approached the railing as I got closer. Maybe they thought I'd brought treats. ;)

How far were you? they seem to be looking right at you! Saddens me when a cattle truck rolls by on the highway, but somehow I forget about that when I eat a burger.....

@Denise: Gosh, not very far at all. Just a few yards. I probably could have walked up and scratched one on the head!
