Hot Fun in the SummertimePosted by Lesley (Lincoln, United States) on 21 June 2009 in Sport & Recreation and Portfolio. We interrupt the Nebraska road trip series to bring you a special photo for this first day of summer. This was taken last summer in Virginia Beach, VA. Our granddaughter (now almost 7 years old) loves the water almost as much as I do! We played in the warm water for what seemed like hours. Summer afternoon - Summer afternoon... the two most beautiful words in the English language. Click here to view my portfolio. Click here to visit my book blog. Tracy from La Selva Beach, United StatesA wonderful memory, and a great shot! Hope you have lots of time to enjoy her this summer, too! 21 Jun 2009 1:42pm @Tracy: We had so much fun playing together in that lovely warm water. I grew up in San Diego and the water never felt so warm until late summer. @jeff (aka dogilicious): They were indeed! Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, CanadaWhat a great shot for the start of summer. Enjoy those moments while you can. They grow up all too fast. 21 Jun 2009 3:19pm @Lee: My husband got some great shots that afternoon. I'd post more, but this really isn't his blog. :) And, yes, they really do grow up far too fast. @Loner: Thank you, Sonja. I'll let my husband know you like it. Christopher from Atlanta, United StatesWhat makes this so perfect is that she is looking right into the shot. Awesome! 21 Jun 2009 7:57pm @Christopher: Thanks, Chris! I think by this shot, she had noticed her grandfather with the camera and was hamming it up just a bit. ;) @john4jack: Thanks, Jack. Rod got quite a few nice ones that afternoon. MrsAmber from West Wickham, United KingdomSo well captured! Very good. Happy Days... 22 Jun 2009 9:31am @MrsAmber: Thanks, Kate. It was a wonderful, memorable afternoon and I'm glad we have some nice photos that actually include me playing with her! I'm always on the other side of that camera! ;) @Steve Rice: Thanks, Steve. It was a lovely, fun day. Denise from Duncannon, United StatesGreat action shot, love how she is looking at you as she holds her nose. 22 Jun 2009 7:01pm @Denise: She was hamming it up for Grandpa, although she really did think she needed to plug her nose every single time I tossed her in the water! |
