Hot Fun in the Summertime

We interrupt the Nebraska road trip series to bring you a special photo for this first day of summer. This was taken last summer in Virginia Beach, VA. Our granddaughter (now almost 7 years old) loves the water almost as much as I do! We played in the warm water for what seemed like hours.

@Tracy: We had so much fun playing together in that lovely warm water. I grew up in San Diego and the water never felt so warm until late summer.

@Lee: My husband got some great shots that afternoon. I'd post more, but this really isn't his blog. :) And, yes, they really do grow up far too fast.

@Christopher: Thanks, Chris! I think by this shot, she had noticed her grandfather with the camera and was hamming it up just a bit. ;)

@Denise: She was hamming it up for Grandpa, although she really did think she needed to plug her nose every single time I tossed her in the water!
