Andi from Depoe Bay, United StatesThis is beautiful. It's almost a painting - like those we saw in the early years in Nebraska. Lovely 20 Jun 2009 5:14am @Andi: Ah, you must mean Anne Burkholder. Yep, I think it does look a bit like her paintings! You can go to her site to see her collection as far back as 2002: http://users.binary.net/burkhldr/ Loner from Wörgl, AustriaA vey nice landscape-image ! Thank you very much for adding my blog to your watching blog ! Cheers Sonja 20 Jun 2009 9:32am @Loner: Thanks, Sonja. It was a gorgeous afternoon! Anthony Morgan Lambert from Bielefeld(old Pembroke Dock boy,Wales), GermanyDoesnt look much like the original Milford which is just down the Haven from my home town !! Nice landscape.. 20 Jun 2009 11:02am @Anthony Morgan Lambert: It certainly doesn't look much like it! Milford, Nebraska is no where near a beautiful harbor or seaside! :) You grew up in a beautiful spot, Anthony! @Craig: Thanks, Craig. Had to tweak it just a tad as the original was a bit hazy. Michael Rawluk from Williams Lake, BC, CanadaThe huge sky gives scale to the landscape. Beautifully done. 20 Jun 2009 3:13pm @Michael Rawluk: Thanks, Michael. In spite of never looking quite as beautiful as it does in person, this one turned out quite well. MrsAmber from West Wickham, United KingdomBeautiful sky! Lovely setting, great photo. 20 Jun 2009 7:53pm @MrsAmber: Thanks, Kate. I'm anxious to get back out there even more so now that the fields are getting greener with all the corn and milo. Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesI miss those billowing clouds of my youth but not the thunderstorms. 20 Jun 2009 8:00pm @Steve Rice: I hear you! I love the dramatic sky in the summer months, but those storms have caused a lot of sleepless nights. It's not so much the tornadoes that scare me, but the noise from the hail, thunderclaps and torrential downpours. Scott Schilling from San Martin, United StatesA beautiful image Lesley. I love the green rolling countryside and the sky makes me wary of an impending thunderstorm! Great shot! 20 Jun 2009 11:14pm @Scott Schilling: Thank you, Scott. As luck would have it, we didn't get rained on until we reached our destination. Once inside our hotel, the sky opened up and poured buckets. Perfect timing for one on a motorcycle! ;) @john4jack: Thanks, Jack. Definitely one of the pluses about living in the Midwest. Not too many skyscrapers - or mountains - to block the view. ;) Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, CanadaGreat landscape. Even better cloud. Together, an excellent shot. 21 Jun 2009 3:10am @Lee: Thanks, Lee. I love the variations in cloud formations and spend a lot of the summer months gazing up at the sky. |
