It's been four years since you were taken from us and yet it seems like just yesterday. We miss you terribly and think of you every single day, with all our love.

Four years! Wow. I guess I've known you longer than I realized. Is Shaylyn school age, then? I've seen this photo before and I love it. Such a sweet mommy-and-child moment.

@Bookfool: Thanks, Nancy. I love this photo. I shot it in Oregon just about 5 years ago. The photo has been used on so many things (bookmarks, t-shirts, slide show, and urn for ashes).

I know. Time flies whether you're having fun or not. It's hard for me to believe, too. Yep, Shay-Shay is a first-grader. Almost a second-grader! Her mommy would be so very proud of her. She's very smart and loves to read. She even went fishing last weekend and caught four fish! :) Now to teach her some photography...

@Eric: Thank you, Eric. It's been a rough four years, but we're getting by. Something we'll never get over, but we're learning to live with it as best as we can. Thanks for commenting.

Thoughts and prayers are with you on this difficult day.

@john4jack: Thank you so much, Jack. It's a tough day -- no, make that a tough month. Lots of memories in this month (college graduation, Mother's Day, Rod's birthday, and of, course, today). Then there's Father's Day next month. We'd be happy to skip several weeks out of the season, but we do what we can do. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. They are greatly appreciated.
