@jamesy: Thanks, Debbie. I appreciate your support.

Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New Zealand

Wow this looks like something out of a Si Fi movie!! Superb composition!! This series is really something!!!

14 May 2009 8:36am

@Linerberry: I thought the same thing! I kept thinking it looked like a sci-fi prop or something out of a post-apocalyptic movie. I've even messed around with the brightness and contrast to see if I could give it that "atomic-bomb-blast" look. Kind of fun in a morbid sort of way. :) Thanks for your lovely comments on this series, Liners. Your enthusiasm is quite flattering.

Anthony Morgan Lambert from Bielefeld (Old Pembroke Dock boy,Wales), Germany

@Anthony Morgan Lambert: Thanks so much, Anthony! I'm having fun picking out which ones to share. So many to choose from, you know? ;)

@MrsAmber: Thanks, Kate!

Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, Canada

Once again you have impressed me with your choice of angle for this landmark. Well done. Certainly not what one would expect.

14 May 2009 12:35pm

@Lee: Thank you so much for such a nice comment, Lee. I worked hard to find the unexpected (or unusual) viewpoint. Glad to know it worked.

Elora from Genoa, Italy

Also nice, but to be honest I like the BW better :)

14 May 2009 3:22pm

@Elora: I thought about posting this in b&w, but decided to go with the color. Maybe I'll have to post it in both styles. :)

grouser from Ludlow, United Kingdom

Terrific arch series Les.
The blossom was pretty hot too

14 May 2009 4:07pm

@grouser: Thanks, Grouser! I've definitely been getting a lot more use out of the old camera now that the weather isn't so bone-chilling COLD!! :)

Bookfool from Mississippi, United States

I like the way the greenery is exposed right, leaving the arch looking more like a slash of light in this one. Such a nice variety you've captured!

14 May 2009 5:05pm

@Bookfool: Thanks, Nancy. I may go back and post this in BW. It's been a fun series.

john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United States

Striking against that gorgeous blue sky.

14 May 2009 9:37pm

@john4jack: It was the one and only day when it wasn't overcast or raining! And, of course, it was the day we arrived, so we really only had a few hours of good light.

PD from Overland Park, Kansas, United States

Another good one! Like how the tree branches seem to be holding up the arch

15 May 2009 2:11am

@PD: Ah, you're right. It does look as though they're clinging to it, doesn't it? Thanks, Paul!

Craig from Vacaville, California, United States

This brings back memories! Great series!

15 May 2009 2:33am

@Craig: Good memories, I hope. :) Glad you're enjoying the series. Thanks for the comment, Craig!
