Anthony Lambert from Bielefeld, Germany

A nice view but it seems a bit unbalanced to me.Maybe a little less sky and more sea would help(only my opion though)

@Anthony Lambert: And you're entitled to your opinion. ;)
Seriously, thanks for the critique, Anthony. I'll play around with some cropping.

Philip from Joburg, South Africa

Lesley you guys also have a beautiful Country I really need to come see for myself GREAT shot I really like the cloud formations

2 Apr 2009 6:41am

@Philip: Thanks, Phililp. Yes, come visit our country. The Pacific Northwest is especially gorgeous!

jamesy from christchurch, New Zealand

great cloud formation

MrsAmber from West Wickham, United Kingdom

A great shot. The clouds are pretty scarily awesome!

2 Apr 2009 9:32am

@MrsAmber: Thanks, Mrs. Amber. They were actually quite tame. I would've expected thunder and lightning, but I don't even think it rained very hard.

xavier cardell from menorca-barcelona, Spain

Nice capture, good composition

@xavier cardell: Thanks, Xavier. I appreciate your visit and comment.
BTW, you have a lovely blog.

dogilicious from Millerstown, PA, United States

I wouldn't want to be in that little boat. Looks like a huge storm! Nice capture.

2 Apr 2009 12:53pm

@dogilicious: Neither would I! But you know, it really didn't amount to much of a storm. Just looked ominous.

Bookfool from Mississippi, United States

Goodness, this storm sure has gone on for a long time. You know you're going to have to repost in August, right? Or July? When I'm suffering????

2 Apr 2009 1:17pm

@Bookfool: Ah, well, it's not actually the same storm (or the same day!). But I'll post more cool/stormy shots for you later this summer. :)

john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United States

Neat horizontal lines pattern.

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

A brave sailor. Cool shot.

2 Apr 2009 4:37pm

@Steve Rice: Yeah. At least we were in a motor cruiser. Not sure I'd like to be out on the water in a storm in a sailboat. I'm a wuss.

Roman from Thunder Bay, Canada

hm... perhaps this crappy weather we're having all over this continent affects us all because I just posted a stormy clouds image in the critique forum. It's very similar to yours, take a look.

cheers
Roman

2 Apr 2009 4:47pm

@Roman: Oh, I think your shot has a lot more drama than mine! Well done, Roman!

Suzanne from Huntington Bch, California, United States

Awesome sky...nice capture.

2 Apr 2009 6:09pm

@Suzanne: Thanks, Suzanne. There's just something I'm drawn to about storm clouds over a body of water.

Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, Canada

A very strong powerful shot Lesley.

2 Apr 2009 10:28pm

@Lee: Thanks so much, Lee.

LauraS from Chico, United States

Looks like a big one blowing in!

2 Apr 2009 11:00pm

@LauraS: It does, doesn't it? But it never materialized into a storm of any sort!

Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New Zealand

Nice layering and I love those rumbling clouds:-)

3 Apr 2009 12:41am

@Linerberry: I do, too, as long as there isn't too much lightning!

DarkElf from Perth, Australia

great stormy mood! love the clouds - it looks very ominous!

3 Apr 2009 1:56am

@DarkElf: Thanks, DarkElf. It looks worse than it really was.
I appreciate your visit and comment. You have a beautiful blog! Great photos.
