I love photographing shadows. This is wonderful

@Michael Rawluk: Thank you so much, Michael.

Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New Zealand

Wow clever stuff...love it! Nicely seen and shot!

10 Feb 2009 5:58am

@Linerberry: Thanks, Liners. I had fun seeking out all the shadows in the house that afternoon.

john4jack from Corvallis, United States

I love your light and shadows photographs!

10 Feb 2009 6:06am

@john4jack: Thanks, Jack. As I mentioned to Liners, I really enjoyed searching the house for interesting shadows. Should've looked today. It was a balmy 65 again! I'm sure Mother Nature is just teasing me. We'll probably have a blizzard this weekend!

Alun Lambert from cheshire, United Kingdom

Interesting shadows, nice one

10 Feb 2009 6:46am

@Alun Lambert: Thanks, Alun. Couple more coming up.

Suzanne from Huntington Bch, California, United States

Very effective abstract. Well done.

@Suzanne: Thanks, Suzanne. Your comment means a lot to me.

Ronnie 2¢ from London, United Kingdom

You work these very well . . they leave so much to be imagined.

10 Feb 2009 9:54am

@Ronnie 2¢: Thanks, Ronnie. I especially like tomorrow's (and Friday's).

Anthony Lambert from Bielefeld, Germany

A nice compfy corner I reckon !!

10 Feb 2009 1:59pm

@Anthony Lambert: Our dog thinks so! ;)

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada

Don't have to go far to get a great photo ;)

10 Feb 2009 2:56pm

@Lorraine: Always nice when it's too darned cold outside for a wimp like me. Today, however, was FABULOUS!! 65 (F) again! I saw a lot of white legs walking around in shorts at the park. ;)

Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United States

I agree that the idea and composition is very good - but the burnout bothers me. The wingback chair was going to be a silhouette anyway - I'd have exposed for the wall which would give you much stronger detail and interest there.

10 Feb 2009 5:49pm

@Stephen Phillips: Thanks for your honest assessment, Steve. You're right and I knew there was something about this particular shot that I didn't love. Next time the sun is shining, I'll give the shot another try and see how it works. Again, thank you for helping me see this.

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

A lot of drama here.

@Steve Rice: Yeah, always a lot of drama in that whole shadow and light thing, don't ya think?
