@john4jack: Isn't that a cool quote, Jack? Glad you like the photo. @Alun Lambert: Thanks, Alun. It's always nice to see the sun shining in the middle of winter! @MontereyJohn: Thanks, John. We've lived in a variety of homes, both old and new, and we'd pick an old house with character any day! The woodwork and fixtures were a big attraction, as was the front porch and tree-lined street. @Lorraine: Gotta love these old houses. It's funny, but that's the only door with the glass knob. All the others are old-fashioned, but not glass. It's on a tiny bedroom closet. @Steve Rice: Thanks, Steve. Our old house has some nice features such as the door knobs, doors, and windows (and sloping floors and cracked plaster!). @Bookfool: Thanks, Nancy. It's a fairly old house. Built in the 30s, so there's lots of nice woodwork and hardware. I'm feeling better today, but am home trying to regain some strength. That bug really zapped me for a couple of days. Thank goodness it only lasts 24-48 hours and not a couple of weeks! Ugh. |
