Bookfool from Mississippi, United States

This is the kind of photo that makes me squeal, "I wanno go theeeeere!" Love it!

16 Dec 2008 5:14am

@Bookfool: And I wanna go back and climb that mountain so I can take more pix! We need to take a road trip, Nancy!

john4jack from Corvallis, United States

You should see Mt. Hood today. We just had our first winter storm. Love the fact that you left the power lines in.

16 Dec 2008 5:23am

@john4jack: You know, I considered taking the power lines out, but I'm just not very skilled in all that "processing" stuff. I shoot my pix, crop as needed, and maybe help adjust the lighting, but that's it.

Our big storm has arrived. We had snow yesterday and now we're getting rain/sleet/thunder snow. Ugh, what a mess it'll be tomorrow morning driving in to work.

Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New Zealand

What a beautiful composition Les. Great shot!

16 Dec 2008 7:19am

@Linerberry: Thanks, m'dear. I'm rather fond of it myself.

k@ from Paris, France

If only I could be here, right now ! Beautiful colors, lights, and atmosphere !

16 Dec 2008 9:48am

@k@: I'd like to return, but it's probably bitterly cold right now. Not much different than where I am now. 22 (F), but with thunder snow.

grouser from Ludlow, United Kingdom

Beautiful peak
It just sits there saying "Climb Me"

16 Dec 2008 11:34am

@grouser: Next time! I promise.

Nina from Hamburg, Germany

So beautiful with this natural light.. a great image, Lesley, really wonderfully captured!

16 Dec 2008 12:11pm

@Nina: Thanks, Nina. I hope to get back again someday. It'd be fun to shoot the same view in a different season.

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada

Magnificent, what a beautiful view and landscape, I expect to see Heidi any minute, running through the sunflowers, laughing with joy, great feeling here Les :)

16 Dec 2008 2:33pm

@Lorraine: Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Had to laugh at your Heidi comment. I can hear her calling, "Grandfather, where are you?!" ;)

Michael Rawluk from Williams Lake, BC, Canada

That is a clever bit of framing for the mountain. Lovely shot.

16 Dec 2008 5:19pm

@Michael Rawluk: Thanks, Michael. I knew what I saw, but hoped it would translate on "film" just as I envisioned. Sure enough, it worked!
